From Manchester to Mexico (2021) — Recyclart art centre — Molenbeek, BE

Renée and Erien worked with holiday photos and stories in From Manchester to Mexico, displaying tactile souvenirs of sun, sea, and sand in public space by printing them on beach towels. During the coronavirus pandemic, they wanted to take people on travels through the holiday stories of others: participants shared memories and dreams. Quotes from these stories were printed onto towels and could be heard through an audio installation during the exhibition.
