Renée and Erien engage in artistic dialogues with single mothers living in Cité Modèle in collaboration with asbl Cité Modèle in ... sur un fil tendu. 

What does it mean to be a single mother? What is the invisible work the mothers do every day? Stories emerge from conversations over a hearty breakfast: light and dark. The mothers co-create words that they embroider on fabric, which ends up on a loom and the words become a tapestry of shared moments. 

All impressions – texts, recorded conversations, embroidery, knitting and photographic imprints – are incorporated into textile work as a final presentation at the cultural centre designed by the artists.
